Kirsten Koop

About

Hi, my name is Kirsten Koop and I am an MA Public History student at Western University.

I completed my BA at Brock University in History with a minor in French Studies and I love researching the history of Niagara. I also enjoy studying social history, particularly women’s history. I first became interested in public history during my time at Brock when I had the opportunity to work with a local museum on an exhibit about the history of tennis. Since then, I have been involved in several projects including creating online exhibits for the Sport Oral History Archive, producing a walking tour of historic Niagara Falls tourism, and co-editing Brock University’s undergraduate history journal.

When I'm not researching the past, I can usually be found with my nose in a book, baking, hiking, or camping.
